Gardaí have this evening issued an appeal for the public’s help in tracing the whereabouts of two young brothers who have been missing since yesterday.

 

Edward and Christopher Mongan - from Lynches Lane in Clondalkin, Dublin - were last seen at home, at around noon on Wednesday, 22nd June.

 

Edward, also known as Ned, is 12 years old. He is described as being 5ft tall, of average build, with dark brown hair and blue eyes. When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket.

 

Christopher, also known as Christy, is 13 years old. The teenager is described as being 4ft 10in in height, of average build, with light brown hair and blue eyes. When last seen, he was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a blue T-shirt.

 

Local authorities have urged members of the public to get in touch with them if they think they have information that could help in locating the boys.
