This morning, Friday, May 18th, Gardaí in Longford arrested a male and female in relation to the death of a female infant that occurred in Longford on 4th June 2017.
A man in his early thirties was arrested in Naas and a woman in her early twenties was arrested in Dublin early this morning and both have been taken to Longford Garda Station.
According to the Garda Press Office, both are being detained under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A report from the Irish Times last year said that the infant girl was named Doriana Kluska from Cloondara, Co Longford. She sadly died at Temple Street Children’s Hospital on June 4th, 2017.
An inquest was taken at the time of her death - she was said to be just ten weeks old.
Investigations are ongoing, according to the Gardai.
