A grieving father has touched and broken hearts everywhere, after sharing an emotional post about ‘the most important things he has learned since losing his son’.

Richard Pringle lost three-year-old Hughie a year ago, after the toddler suffered a brain haemorrhage.

Little Hughie had previously been diagnosed with a condition called cavernoma; a cluster of abnormal blood vessels found in the brain and/or the spinal cord.

Melding his fondest memories with some important life lessons learned, Richard shared a list for all to see. It goes as follows:

The post has prompted quite a response on Facebook, touching hearts and minds. It’s clear that Richard’s words haven’t fallen on deaf ears, either.

“Thank you for reminding us that may take our blessings for granted! Thank you for sharing,” wrote one friend.

“Thanks, Rich. Sometimes we need reminding of what’s really important,” wrote another.

A fellow parent chimed in: “I take a picture with my daughter every day, wherever we are. It has given a special bond, plenty of laughs, and wonderful memories.”

There is plenty for us to reflect on here, mums; fair play to Richard for sharing this perspective.
