It was only yesterday that we were dabbing our eyes over the story of a Japanese man who planted thousands of sweet-scented flowers for his blind wife to enjoy, and now we have another major case of ‘the feels’.
An elderly husband and wife duo have become the unwitting poster-couple for true love, after a bystander witnessed a sweet moment they shared while shopping for makeup.
According to the post, shared to the ‘Love What Matters’ Facebook page, the woman in the accompanying photo was trying to find the right makeup to match her skin tone, along with her ‘unbelievably helpful’ husband.

The photographer observed: “She was having a ‘girl’ moment, in a panic struggling to find the right one. He calmed her down, helped her find her colour and kissed her on the forehead.”
Clearly touched by the scene they just witnessed, the photographer added: “It was such a simple way to show how big his love was for her. A perfect reminder that our bodies grow old but our love doesn't have to."
The adorable photo has clearly struck a chord with people all over the world, too – in a matter of three days it has already racked up over a million likes and half-a-million shares.
