Laois Fire & Rescue are true heroes. They've been working their hardest to keep communities in Laois safe since the recent downpour has caused widespread flooding.
Yesterday they tweeted a picture of children crossing a makeshift bridge, one of the ways Laois Fire & Rescue helped to get students from Scoil Bhríde N.S. in Mountrath home safely.
The fire and rescue workers also evacuated a preschool in Mountmellick, where up to 40 families were displaced last night due to flooding.

Way to go! One Twitter user joked, "These lads would give Magyver a run for his money. Fair play."
Hopefully, their crews and everyone else in the area stays safe.
Thank you to Laois Fire & Rescue and everyone else who is bravely working to help others!
