Most parents have, at some time or another, endured the horror of seeing their child struggle to breathe as a piece of food or a foreign object becomes lodged in their windpipe.

However, while many incidents do not require hospitalisation, some cases are severe enough to warrant medical intervention - something which is confined to the realms of 'Every Parent's Worst Nightmare'.

One couple who were recently forced to endure such an incident have had their case captured on camera and circulated online in a move which has hit the headlines in recent days.

Attending to a baby who was choking on a watch, a doctor in Saudi Arabia can be seen saving the child's life with the help of a surgical scissors before relying on his own dexterity to dislodge the piece of jewellery from the child's windpipe.

According to the Huffington Post, the baby was in a critical condition upon his arrival to hospital; requiring the urgent assistance of medical professionals.

Upon saving the child's life, medics can be seen encouraging the child to breathe while patting him gently on the back as he desperately attempted to regulate his own breathing.

We can only imagine how his parents felt upn realising their child was out of danger.
