Inistioge Summer Festival is taking place this June bank holiday weekend and promises to be an exciting weekend for the whole family, with lots of fun activities to keep everyone entertained. Inistioge is a beautiful, scenic village located between Thomastown and New Ross in the heart of Nore Valley. This festival is all about traditional family fun with activities such as waterspheres, guess the weight of the lamb, circus performers, a dog show and much more.

The festival kicks off on Saturday 4th of June with a family 3k run. There will be prizes for the fastest buggy, egg and spoon races and the funniest hat. Then on Sunday the Inistioge GAA pitch will be transformed into a big playground with lots of fun games from 1pm to 5.30pm. There will be a samba band, karate display and fire juggling from Paul Wheel who is the All Ireland Busking Champion. There will also be face painting, free supervised bouncy castle and pottery painting also.

In case you and the kids get a bit peckish throughout the day, there will be plenty of food and drink stalls to keep you energised. Catering for every taste and budgets, stalls will include summer BBQ, tea and coffee with locally homemade treats, gourmet food and dessert stalls. There will also be a farmers market with a selection of stalls selling organic local produce as well as handmade crafts and gifts.

To close the festivities Fourpenny Rock will give a free open air concert in the Millennium Garden in the heart of Inistioge village.

Entrance to the festival is free for children, €7 for adults and €5 for students or OAPs.
