An investigation has been launched into a fire which was started in a house in Belfast yesterday morning while a mother in her 30s and three young children were inside.

 

So far it is believed that the fire was caused with intent after flammable liquids were poured through the letterbox of the home in Ormeau Embankment in the city.

 

The woman and her three young girls who were in the home at the time of the attack escaped without injury but are still in shock.

 

PSNI are now calling for the public’s help with an information they can provide.

 

They are asking for anyone who was in the area at around 6.20am yesterday morning to come forward with any information they may have.
