We have heard some unusual and off-the-wall stories in our time, but this one takes ludicrous to a whole other level.
An investigation has been launched this week, after cabin crew on a flight to Paris discovered a child in a woman’s hand luggage.
According to reports, the woman was flying from Istanbul to the French capital and managed to make it all the way onto the plane before being caught out.
It was a fellow passenger who first raised the alarm, after noticing unusual movement in the woman’s bag.
The passenger told local news outlet Planet.fr that the woman was sitting towards to back of the plane and, when she went to open her bag, he noticed that “something was moving inside”.
The passenger proceeded to alert cabin crew to the situation, and the shocking discovery was made. Thankfully, the report claimed that the child ‘seemed well’.
A spokesperson from Air France confirmed the incident, revealing that the child was travelling on the flight without a ticket.
“The company requested the presence of the French authorities to flight arrival and fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation by the competent authorities,” they added.
