An Irish mother has gone public with her story today, with authorities now believing that her ex-husband has fled the country with their two young children.

The Irish Mirror reports that Louise Roche, 29, is living through her ‘worst nightmare’, having gone over a month without seeing or hearing from her two sons; Abdullah, two, and Muhammad, 14 months.

It was 14th October when Louise packed the boys off with her ex-husband, Hamma Tufail. The former couple separated last year, and Tufail had been granted weekend access to their children.

Louise’s concerns were raised when she couldn’t make contact with her boys over the weekend, and she raised the alarm when Tufail failed to return the children at the scheduled time.

After contacting and liaising with the gardaí in her native Wexford, Louise filed missing persons reports for the boys, who were both born in Ireland.

With gardaí reportedly finding footage of Tufail and his sons at Dublin Airport, Louise now believes that he may have fled to his home in Peshawar, Pakistan.

While Louise had her youngest son’s passport in her possession, she believes Tufail may have been able to get around this with some planning.

She told the Mirror: “The gardaí have old me the child travelled on a Pakistani document. I believe he [Tufail] went to Pakistan before we were in court and got the child a passport.”

Authorities and Louise’s legal team are said to be working round-the-clock to find the boys and bring them home.
