Joe Wicks has come under fire for his latest Instagram post of his daughter Indie. The dad shared a photo of him balancing his little girl in one hand on the beach.
The snap made many followers smile as it reminded them of their own childhoods but others were furious at how careless the fitness fanatic was.
One wrote: “My dad used to balance me in his hand like this when I was a baby.”
Another commented: “My dad used to do this all the time with me - I used to feel on top of the world!”
However, others were furious over the reckless pose as they feared Indie could easily lose her balance and fall.
One commented: “Babies are unpredictable and can lunge quickly. He may have lost his grip or hurt her ankle/feet when he tried to hang on to her. It's just an unnecessary thing to do for the sake of a good photo.”
Another revealed that her dad also used to do this when she was a kid but he ended up dropping his daughter.
One user added: "It's a little irresponsible of you. If you'd have dropped her God forbid, even worse on her head, what would you have done? You would not have posted this picture on Instagram to begin with, and at worse ended up in hospital. And for what reason? To get some likes on Instagram? Was it it truly worth the risk?"
Others defended Joe aka The Body Coach and stressed that he would never put his baby girl in danger.
“Anyone who follows @thebodycoach knows full well how much he loves and adores his baby girl and therefore would never do something that could put her at risk.
“Get a life it’s heartwarming to see a parent, especially a father, being so devoted,” they wrote.
