When he found himself on his hands and knees in front of international television crews, we doubt Osama Abdul Mohsen could see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Having been tripped and humiliated by a Hungarian camera woman while fleeing police with his young son, the Syrian father found himself the centre of a scandal which cost camera woman, Petra Laszio, her job.

But just days on from the shocking incident which made headlines around the world, Osama has been offered a job coaching football at a school in Spain.

Upon learning that Zaid's father was a football coach in his native Syria, the president of a school on the outskirts of Madrid tracked down the father and son duo with the help of a Spanish journalist, and offered Osama a position with the school.

Miguel Ángel Galán felt compelled to make contact, saying:"When we saw the story of Mohsen published in the newspapers we felt very bad about it."

"We are a centre for coaches and we like to help everyone who works in this area," he continued.

Following the heartbreaking moment which struck a chord with thousands of people worldwide, Osama, Zaid and Zaid's brother made their way into Germany, but are currently making their way to Madrid in an effort to start a new life.

According to reports, the family will be placed in an apartment near the school's training facility which will be paid for out of the school's advertising budget.

Commenting on the decision to offer Osama a position with the school, Miguel said: "We got the idea to help a fellow football coach. We will work with Getafe FC so that the father can coach there, seeing as he has experience in that area."

"This is a step to show the solidarity of the city of Getafe in response to this human drama", he continued.

It has been established that plans are currently being put in place to unite Osama with his wife and other two children in Spain.

What a truly heartwarming turn of events.
