It was a murder trial which captured the attention of the entire world, and this weekend Reeva Steenkamp's mother, June, will discuss the impact of her daughter's death during an exclusive interview on Irish television.

Scheduled to appear on The Ray D'Arcy Show this Saturday night, June Steenkamp will open up about her daughter's death three years ago before turning her attention to the high-profile trial of Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius.

Accused of murdering his girlfriend Reeva on Valentine's Day 2013, the athlete stood trial in a South African courtroom - formal proceedings which were readily available to both the media and public following a decision to televise the trial in 2014.

Reflecting on the past three years, June will share memories of her daughter Reeva who was just 29-years-old at the time of her tragic death, before discussing the events which surrounded her child's untimely demise.

Oscar Pistorius appealed his murder conviction and is due back in court on April 18th this year.

The Ray D’Arcy Show airs on Saturday 20 February at 9.55pm on RTÉ One.
