Katie Holmes through the years

Dawsons Creek
While we all now know Katie as Mrs Cruise and mother to style icon Suri, she first became famous for her part as the ultimate girl-next-door Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek. Even though the script was cringe and the constant swapping of partners was annoying, we still loved this show! Katie's character was known for her jeans and baggy jumpers...a long way from the chic A-lister we now know and love.
MTV awards 2002
Off set Katie’s fashion stayed close to that of her character’s when she wore jeans and a t-shirt to the 2002 MTV Movie Awards. With flared jeans and colour blocking never far from her wardrobe Katie had a long way to go to make it to the style icon we see today.
First Daughter
Katie’s next big role came in the form of playing the daughter of the President of the United States of America in First Daughter (2004).  In this role Katie plays a poised, elegant young lady.  Katie’s on screen style has definitely upped its game; featuring a variety of chic dresses and elegant poises. But has she found her off-screen style yet?
Batman Begins
Katie finally became an A-lister when she landed the female lead in 'Batman Begins' in 2005. Smart and sophisticated Katie brings office glam to the big screen.
Tropic Thunder premiere
Katie changed her look dramatically, shaking off her girl-next-door image and embrassing a shorter haircut and sexier style. She's come along way from those jeans and cardigans in Dawson's Creek!
Knight and Day premiere
Here Katie escorted her husband Tom Cruise to the premiere of his latest movie in 2010. Katie looks pretty yet sophisticated in this stunning dress.
Jack and Jill premiere
Katie looked amazing at the premiere of her latest movie 'Jack and Jill' starring alongside Adam Sandler. Her long hair really suits her young face and the colour blocking looks great.
Jack and Jill
Keeping to her classic look Katie keeps it simple in her on-screen role as mother of two in the family comedy 'Jack and Jill'.
Jack and Jill hits cinemas this Friday. Check out the trailer below.
