Katie Price has announced that her show at Manchester’s Opera House has been cancelled. The event was set to take place this evening.

She released a statement in the early hours of the morning sharing the unwelcome news with her fans.

Many people were disappointed with the late cancellation as they had already travelled to the city for the show.

It is understood that she had to call off the show due to an ‘urgent family matter involving the police’.

The statement read, “Unfortunately I have been left with no choice than to postpone my show in Manchester this evening due to an urgent family matter involving the police and one of my children. For all my fans and everyone that has bought tickets to tonight’s show, I am sorry to let you down last minute. This is something out of my control. Please contact the box office for more information. KP xxx.”

The mum-of-five was set to take her Audience With Katie Price tour to Manchester city.

She has yet to share any more details about the incident with her fans. She hasn’t tweeted since releasing her statement at 11:14 AM.

There were mixed reactions from fans of the reality star.

One person tweeted her words of support, “I’m so sorry you had to cancel. I was so excited for tonight but family comes first. Sending hugs. I hope you’re all okay.”

Another fan was not impressed with the announcement, they sarcastically tweeted Katie, “I'm sure my hotel will accept this when I try to cancel my room! Oh, it's less than 24-hour notice.”

One mum empathised with Katie by sending her words of support, “What’s happened now? These poor children honestly hope everything is ok from one mummy to another.”

Another wondered if the poor ticket sales were the real reason behind the sudden cancellation, “Apparently the only tickets sold were for her family & they’ve now decided they aren’t going because it clashes with Strictly.”

Katie’s one-woman show features a question and answers section, a musical performance of her new song I Got U, as well as a meet and greet session after the show.

Katie has five children- 15-year-old Harvey, 12-year-old Princess, ten-year-old Princess, four-year-old Jett and three-year-old Bunny.

It is understood that Katie’s representative has refused to comment on the incident.

The Sussex police force told The Sun that they cannot share information on cases involving minors.
