I was so happy to be chosen to sample this cream.I used it on my little girls legs as she has very dry patchy skin

I love this product. It made her skin very smooth, soft and wonderful without leaving the skin greasy at all. It is light-weight, non-greasy or oily and it leaves your skin feeling amazingly smooth without any dry patches after only one use .
I loved the fact that it was fragrance free and lanolin free as I have used products before with lanolin and find them greasy and not absorbed as quickly as La Roche-Posay

Honestly I wouldn't hesitate to use this product again and would purchase in the pharmacy

I've been aware of the brand and using La Roche-Posay products for quite a while now ( Effaclar foaming gel face wash, Ceralip lip repair and Lipikar hand cream) I find all their products great!

So I was absolutely delighted to be chosen to review the new Cicaplast Baume B5. Thank you Mymmypages!
I have very dry hands, even handling nappies irritated them would you believe, and with two bums to change at the moment my hands were particularly bad. My daughters don’t tend to have nappy rash but if any spot appeared I used the cream.
I found the cream really smooth, it was very easy to rub onand it absorbed incredible quickly. Unlike other creams it didn’t leave a sticky layer on the skin, which was very useful when using it on my hands! After applying Cicaplast Baume B5 to my girls,I found that it washed off my hands very easily.
I really liked the fact that the cream is paraben- free, fragrance-free, lanolin-free and that it doesn’t leave marks.
I found the tube size very handy to handle and to carry in my baby bag or handbag. I really like the fact that the lid closes very tightly, so there were no accidents or squirts of cream.
After using this cream I would highly recommend it to any body, not only to mums of nappy wearing children.

I found the cream to be very effective on any little blemishes on my girl’s bums and extremely effective on my own dry hands. My husband also used the cream to treat dry skin (he swims a lot) he was also very impressed. On showing my mum, the first thing she noted was how absorbant the cream is!
All in all I found Cicaplast Baume B5 fantastically effective and super absorbent!!
Thanks again Mummypages!!

I was delighted to take part in the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 trial, i have heard of La Roche-Posay before but did not try any of there products and im aware that it can only be bought in a pharmacy.
I found the size of the 100ml tube handy to hold, and im glad that the lid does not screw off as my two year old is fasinated with taking lids off creams. The lid is very easily opened with a wee flick and the balm comes out very easy. The packaging is a little bit plain.
The balm itself is very easily absorbed into the skin, at first i thought its very thin but no it just right , its very smooth and white in colour, it does not leave any white marks.
I used it on my four year old daughter for dry patches on both her arms, it helped these areas great and i also used it on her bum which worked wonders also.

My two year old is very bad with Eczema she is on a special diet for it,as well as not been able to use any perfumed products on her skin so i applied it to her skin as its paraben-free, fragrance-free, lanolin-free and recommended for sensitive skin, but it irritated her skin alot and she ended up scratching and breaking her skin on the areas that i applied the cream to, so i was disappointed with that result

I was so delighted to be picked for this product trial, very generous of you, with the tube i thought it was going to be alot smaller, so thanks for that.

I have never used this brand before but i have seen it in the chemists. I had heard alright that it was a great brand to use for different skin problems, but i suppose i have been lucky enough not to have anything major wrong with my skin or my sons, apart from nappy rash really and a bit of eczema but i used other creams that the doctor prescribed for that. When i first applied the cream i thought that it was a little bit thin but it went on really lovely and smooth and very quickly absored into his bum. I loved the fact that it was free from everything really. Every now and then my son would get breakouts on his face more when he was a baby then now, he had a slight break out on his cheek the last day i put the cream on and it cleared up pretty much straight away, i also used it on my elbows which are always vey dry, it has definately made a difference to that. I did find the tube easy to hold and handy to use, yes i liked the packaging. Yes the only place i ever see La Roche-Posay is in chemists. My son had a bit of nappy rash last week and i did use the cream on it, it did clear it away, but unfortunately it did appear again, but i suppose that is normally the case with creams, the good thing was it did not come back half as bad, so id say using the cream over a longer period of time would sort that out, so im going to continue using it and will probably invest in a tube when that one is gone, thanks mummypages for giving me the opportunity to try it.

I’ve known about La Roche-Posey for a while, recently I’ve been using Lipikar Syndet and Lipikar Baumeup on my baby.
I found the cream very easy to rub on and it absorbed incredible quickly.
I like the fact that it was fragrance free and lanolin free.
I’ve been using it for the last week on my baby as he has bad rash on his face and arms, his skin seem to have improved, it’s not as rough and red as it was. I didn’t use it for nappy rash.
I found the size of the 100ml tube handy and practical.
Thank you for letting me trial this product and I would be delighted to trial any other products in the future.

Thanks so much for sending me the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 to test.
I have used La Roche Posay Foundation before and found it very good. I was delighted when I received the Cicaplast Baume B5 as I have a 8 week old baby who "had" neo natal dry patches on his face. I used the Baume and after one use I could see the dryness clearing. I also had very dry and chapped hands from constantly washing them with the baby and it worked wonders, soothed them very quickly and cleared the dryness. I didn't realise before now that La Roche Posay products were an expert brand for sensitive skin and recommended by dermatologists worldwide. I found the product very easy to apply and absorbed quickly. It is great that it is paraben-free, fragrance-free& lanolin-free as I was using it on such a young baby.
The tube is a great size, big enough to find easily in the napp bag but also compact enough to fit in. The packaging is professional so that people will know that it is for all age groups from babies to adults. I was aware that it is only available in pharmacies.
Thankfully, I have not had to use it for nappy rash yet but I will keep it on hand for when that time occurs.
Thanks again for letting me sample it.

I'm a big fan of La Roche-Posay brand as I've been using their base (make up) for the last 2 years, great brand for sensitive skin. I found out about La Roche-Posay from my beauty therapist who advised its great with sensitive skin, so I was very excited to test out the Cicaplast Baume B5 cream. The cream was so easy to apply - my daughter had the start to a nappy rash and I'm so careful what products I use on her bum. I found the Cicaplast Baume B5 cream to be soft, smooth and oil free, it was absorbed quickly and made a huge improvement to my daughters nappy rash. Knowing that the product is paraben-free, fragrance-free, lanolin-free and free from white marks makes the product a winner in my books. The 100ml tube is easy to use and helps in application (top very handy). the packaging is clear and catching. Very impressive!! I like the fact you can only get this brand from the pharmacies as the staff are trained & advise you to get the most of the brand.

Overall I saw a huge improvement to my daughters nappy rash, its cleared up nicely and will definately be getting more when it hits the stores :D

Hi mummypages,

Thank you so much for asking us to try the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. We loved it in our house.

It's a lovely cream for all the family. My 4 & 6 year old love it, it sorts out any itchy irritated dry patches. They love using it after baths and swimming. I have extremely dry skin and find it great too. It's so absorbent - it doesn't take much rubbing in to disappear. A big plus is that its not greasy.

I'm due my baby in April so I will definitely be using it on him/her. Its very unlikely that there will be any of this tube left by then so I will have to stock up ;0)

Thanks again,

Hello. I was delighted to get the opportunity to try this product. I have been trying to find something like it since my twins were born over a year ago. I am aware of the brand La Roche-Posay although I have never used any of their products although that will change now. I have heard a lot of good reports of their products over the last few years but have been using products that I’m more familiar with since I was a child on my babies.

I loved applying this to my babies dry skin, especially my son who has very dry and rough skin especially on his legs. When nothing else worked our pediatrician suggested baby oil but it’s so messy. With Cicaplast Baume B5 it was so easy to apply and quickly absorbed. Once applied I could nearly sense the relief he felt on his itchy legs. I have also been using it as a nappy rash cream and find it good for that too. I was using it as a lip balm for myself but think I will have to get my own tub as don’t like using it as a nappy rash cream one minute and a lip balm the next. It would be handy if it came in a small tub for my lips!

My favourite thing about this product is that its paraben free. I’ve got very fussy about using paraben free products particularly when I’m pregnant. If I’m lucky enough to get pregnant again I will use this as my all purpose cream. I have been using it as a hand cream as my hands are very dry from washing so many bottles and I love it!

I’d love to see a wide range of bottle sizes. I think the 100ml is too big for my baby bag (I carry a lot for two babies) but too small for home.

I like the packaging. It’s a bit medical but that makes me trust it more! Plus being for sale in a pharmacy is a good sign that they trust the products.

All in all I can’t say it cured the nappy rash or dry skin but it’s the best product I’ve tried to date for both issues. I’ve already recommended it to friends. I just hope it’s not too expensive as I feel like I’ll be using it a lot in future.

I am delighted to say that after 2.5 long years....... We have finally found a product for our 3 year old son who suffers from EczemaBig smile After a week his skin had lost that scaly, sandpaper feel and for the first time in a long time he now has smooth baby like soft skin. He no longer wakes at night complaining with the itchiness which is wonderful for him and myself & hubby. We are now getting our full nights sleep again too!

Thank you so much to Mummypages & La Roche Posay for selecting us to take part in the trial it has been a fantastic experience with excellent results. I have already recommended the product to other Eczema suffers that we now.

I was aware of the brand and using La Roche-Posay sun cream products for quite a while now. I find all their products great!

Thank you Mymmypages for choosing me to trial your Cicaplast Baume B5.

Both my little ones have very dry skin especially on arms and legs and I noticed a massive improvement within 4 days. The skin didn't look so angry and red anymore. I would say however I thought twice a day was a bit much to apply it and found once a day to be enough after bath time and when nappy rash was bad on my littlest one. I also loved the way it made my hands feel after applying it as they are usually dry and cracked and best of all I didn't have to leave the kids for two long after applying it as it absorbed in so quickly.

I found the tube size great for at home use but a bit big for a nappy bag. The lid is also great for one handed use when trying to hold a baby with the other..

My husband also used the cream to treat psoriosis on his elbow and knees and said it really improved the look and feel of his skin.

I would higly recommend Cicaplast Baume B5.
Thank you again Mummypages!!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to trial La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 and I am so delighted I was!

I have a baby girl who turned 7 months today. She has two teeth now but before each one of them, she suffers from severe nappy rash which actually causes her bum to be pretty raw. I tried everything on it & nothing seemed to help until now.

I had heard of La Roche Posay before but literally only knew the name. I wasn't aware of any specific products it produced or that it was developed for sensitive skin and recommended by dermatologists.

When I received the package, she didn't have any nappy rash so I didn't use it. However, as soon as it started to appear, I applied the product and it cleared it in no time. I kept using it and the nappy rash was kept at bay. It's fantastic!!
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is so easy to apply. The lid is just a flick to open which is super convenient when you have a very wriggly baby. It glides on really smoothly so its easy to get it where it needs to go but it's not runny so you don't have to worry about getting it everywhere. It dries in super quick to so there's no layer left on the bum so I'm happy that her skin is still able to breathe. The fact that it is fragrance-free, paraben-free, lanolin -free and white mark free are a huge bonus in my opinion.

My daughter also has a few patches of dry skin, especially after swimming. I found La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 was brilliant in clearing these up. It's much easier to apply than baby lotion as it's not as runny & absorbs really quickly. Also, it cleared up dry skin in no time.

I also use it myself. I have very dry hands. Now I use it after every nappy change on my hands and they are much improved. The used to be tight and sore but when I rub it into my hands, I actually feel relief as the cream is absorbed!

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 comes in a 100ml tube. I think it's a great size for nappy bags as it's not too much but depending on use, the tube could last a good while. The shape of the tube makes it easy to squeeze and the fact that it stands on the end means that when you dont have to shake it for ages to get the cream to the opening! Also, I think the simple packaging is quite nice. It looks like something you could only buy in a pharmacy and therefore, I think I expect it to do more then other brands. Luckily it did! Before this trial, I didn't know La Roche Posay products could only be purchased in pharmacies.

Thanks again for letting me take part in this trial. I will definitely be recommending La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 to everybody and not just for nappy rash!

I enjoyed using this product as I had not heard of it. I used it on my one year old teething daughters nappy rash. Other products I would have used would have strong fragrances and leave white marks, not so with this product. Before her skin would have broken and be bleeding but this did not happen with the La Roche Posay, it left her skin soft and smooth. It did not prevent the nappy rash from reappearing but it did ease it.

The packaging is simple and a good size to fit any changing bag. It can only be bought in a pharmacy which is a pity as some busy mums shop on line and my not go to the pharmacy.

I also used it on my 5 year old who had hives on her back. She said it took the itch away and did not leave any residue on her clothes.

I give this product a gold star.Smiling

I had heard good things about La Roche Posay before taking part in this trial, but was always under the impression that it was a 'luxury' brand rather than an 'expert' brand and was not aware that the brand was dermatologist recommended.
I found Cicaplast Baume B5 nice to apply, relatively easy, it wasn't too wet- so no drips- and it wasn't too thick and 'cakey' feeling. It did feel rather greasy when it was smoothed onto the skin, but the upside was that it always absorbed very quickly and left no sticky residue afterwards.
I love that there are no unnecessary chemicals in this. I have a strong dislike for any products that contain Lanolin since seeing a documentary about it's ingredients and uses. I especially liked the fact that Cicaplast Baume B5 was fragrance free, because I find too many skin-care products contain harsh fragrances, they always seem to irritate my daughter's skin as well as my own.
I used this product on my daughter's face, because she suffers with dryness & irritation on her cheeks and lips. I found it beneficial in treating the dryness on her cheeks, but it made little difference to her chapped lips, for which I will have to buy a more specialist product.

I used the product on the very dry, rough patches on my face, and it has made a huge difference to my skin. I can now use foundation without any worries about flaky patches appearing in a matter of minutes! My skin almost feels like new, I no longer suffer with so many flaky patches on my forehead and cheeks, my skin is becoming more evenly textured, and my skin tone seems to be more even.

Since I used Cicaplast Baume B5 on my son's face however, he now has a dry, flaky patch on his nose that was never there before, and the product does not seem to be clearing it up. I'm not sure if it's related to the use of this product or not, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

My husband has very sensitive skin on his face after shaving, and seeing as most after-shave balms contain fragrance, he decided to try the Cicaplast Baume B5, and to his surprise, it soothed and calmed his skin and replaced any lost moisture.
I found the packaging easy to hold and use, especially around the children. It was much easier than the awkward pump-action bottles that my old moisturiser came in.
I was not aware that La Roche Posay was only available from pharmacies, but I am now!
It was great in treating my sosn's nappy rash, at the first signs of redness I would apply the product liberally, and it stopped the rash from progressing, it was brilliant. Literally, at the next nappy change, the rash was gone. I would absolutely use this again in treating nappy rash, I haven't found any product that was as good as Cicaplast Baume.

Thanks for letting me take part in the trial, I'm delighted to have discovered this product and I will definitely be purchasing it from now on. A brilliant, all round moisturising balm that worked in different ways for my whole family. 10 out of 10.
