One young boy, who recently found himself the victim of a very sick stomach, has touched the hearts of staff in Powell's in Portland after expressing regret over an incident which took place in the Oregon bookstore.

Having been unable to stop himself from vomiting within the confines of Powell's store, an apologetic boy named Jack put pen to paper and expressed his gratitude for the staff members who dealt with the situation.

In a letter which he addressed to the 'barf cleaners', Jack thanked Powell's staff for their speedy handling of the incident and enclosed a Ben &Jerry's Icecream giftcard for their troubles.

Manager, Jennifer Wicka, recalled the incident with great clarity and estimated that Jack's expulsion spanned approximately 10 feet, saying: "It [the vomit] was gigantic in diameter."

However she admits that she was hugely touched by the child's correspondence, disclosing; "I opened it up and read it and it totally made my day. I’m pretty grumpy about people and humanity!"

Revealing that Jack's card changed her perspective somewhat, Jennifer declared:" Oh man, some people are good!"

All's well that ends well!
