Unless you're working, many of us like spend Good Friday relaxing at home with a cup of tea.

But not these do-gooders in Limerick, who decided to spend the day making sure their city and county was looking gleaming for the long weekend.

Team Limerick Clean-up (TLC) started last year when they called for everyone across Limerick city and county to give up just a few hours of their time on Good Friday to help make their community clean again.

And it was such a huge success, thanks to supporters like local lad Paul O’Connell himself, that they decided to do it again this year.

With over 13,500 people volunteering their time, the anticipation for the big day was obvious.

It all kicked off this morning with young and old in attendance, it's looking like a great family day out.

Trending #2 in Ireland on Twitter, it seems like the whole county is out tidying up.

And all their hard work isn't going unnoticed.

What a fantastic initiative coordinated by the Limerick City and County Council. Going from strength to strength, it looks like we'll be seeing TLC3 next year.

Well done to all the organisers and, more importantly, to all the people of Limerick who pledged their time for such a great cause. Enjoy your tea and cake!
