We love a story with a happy ending.

Lu Hurst’s son Angus has learning difficulties and has been diagnosed with Williams Syndrome and brain damage.

Despite being ten-years-old, Angus has the developmental age of just three-years-old.

Described as a “very anxious and vulnerable” child, Angus recently lost a very important teddy bear.

“My son lost Bramley Bear, the teddy he takes everywhere, late on Saturday afternoon. We only realised at bedtime.” His mother told getSurrey about her efforts to find the bear.

“Bramley is very special to him. He doesn’t sleep well at the best of times, but no Bramley means no sleep at all.

“After an evening of racking my brains and trying to calm Angus down while he has a massive meltdown, I worked out Bramley might be at Notcutts Garden Centre – one of my son’s favourite places, so I emailed and tweeted them.”

Thankfully though, like we said, this story had a happy ending.

“On Sunday morning before they opened, I got a text message from Simon at Notcutts saying he had found Bramley.

“We went to Notcutts and Angus was reunited with Bramley.

“My son was thrilled and I was very, very relieved.

“Bramley is now under house arrest.”

Lu, who is a regular fundraiser for Williams Syndrome said she and Angus were “incredibly grateful” for Notcutts’ help.
