The parents of a four-year-old little boy who passed away after a two-year battle with cancer have revealed his astonishing final wish, and their dedication to fulfilling that dream.

Little Henry Allen battled a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma for two years, before finally making the decision himself to end his treatment so that he could go home.

Tragically, he passed away shortly after, but not without sharing his final wish with his parents – that they make other children smile after his passing.

Heartbroken Dawn and Mark Allen, from Milton Keynes in the UK, have now gone to great lengths to fulfil Henry’s dying wish, by setting up a trust in his name.

Known as Henry’s Happy Trust, the organisation is inspired by superhero-loving Henry’s attitude to life, and has already gone a long way to bringing happiness and cheer to many young cancer patients’ lives.

As part of their work with the Trust, the Allens have organised visits to sick children by their favourite characters as well as fun days out and presents and music lessons from TV stars.

Paying tribute to their amazing son, Dawn says: “It’s hard without Henry, but keeping other kids smiling the way he used to keeps us going. We may not have had him for long but we will always feel so very lucky that Henry the Superhero was ours.”
