While it’s an exciting time for the little ones as they get ready for Halloween, this latest report proves that, sadly, there are always dangers lurking around the corner.

It has been reported that a six-year-old girl has been rescued from the clutches of a dangerous would-be abductor in Glasgow, Scotland.

Sources claim that a man named John Farrell was walking in the Parkhead locality when he witnessed the child – who was wearing a Princess Elsa costume – about to be preyed on by 33-year-old David Johnston.

Mr Farrell told police that Johnston was standing close to the girl with his trousers around his ankles. When Mr Farrell shouted at Johnston and asked him what he was doing, the predator pushed the little girl away and fled the scene.

Thankfully, local police were able to track down Johnston and he was arrested shortly after the incident took place. Johnston, who has 19 previous convictions, appeared before Glasgow’s High Court yesterday and is due to be sentenced next month.

What a horrific report. This highlights the need for vigilance at all times, especially during mid-term break when our children are playing in the locality.
