There's little worse in this life than falling ill right before a very important occasion.

One little girl who knows this all too well is 3-year-old Millie from Chicago who missed the opportunity to throw the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game after coming down with the flu.

Recalling the incident for her YouTube followers, Millie's doting mum explained: "When we got to Wrigley Field, she was feeling really under the weather and burning up. A trip to the doctor the following morning and some medicine and she was on the road to recovery."

Reflecting on her time as a patient, Millie chatted with her mum and insisted that there was no need to worry because she was no longer running a temperature - a development she encouraged her mum to celebrate along with her.

Momentarily distracted by her daughter's adorable mispronunciation of the word 'fever', Millie's mum didn't exhibit the required level of delight at the news -  a delay which forced Millie to demand: "Be happy!"
