In the days leading up to London Pride, the city has marked the occasion in an incredibly heart-warming way.
With Pride weekend approaching, Londoners have been noticing one very subtle, yet very important change to the London streets.
In the incredibly popular tourist area around Trafalgar Square, 50 sets of pedestrian crossing lights have been transformed.

Following Munich and Vienna who have made similar gestures of support, London has now shown its support with these proud pedestrian lights.

The message these lights send is even more important after the tragic events in Orlando says Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.
“Our thoughts and prayers are of course still with the families and friends of the victims of the hideous recent attack in Orlando.
“These new signals show that we stand shoulder to shoulder with them and display the tolerance and celebration of difference in our city.”
