It is understood that a collision, which occurred on the Ferefad to Ballymacormack Road in Longford this morning, has left one teenage boy seriously injured.
According to emerging media reports, the vehicle's four other passengers escaped the early-morning collision unharmed.
It has been established that the vehicle in which the five individuals were travelling crashed into a ditch at approximately 03.50 this morning.
Following the shock incident, the injured 19-year-old was rushed directly to the Midland Regional Hospital where he is said to be receiving treatment today.
