Is anyone else suffering from a case of the January Blues? We’ve been feeling low due to the constant bad weather and the never-ending wait for payday, but one romantic gesture has lifted our spirits.
One lucky lady named Anne was proposed to in one of the best (and most creative) ways, and we can’t help but swoon.
Her partner wrote her name in the sand on Inchydoney Beach surrounded by a huge love heart, with one very important question underneath it.
“Will you marry me?” the message read.
We can’t believe how much effort Anne’s fiancé put into the proposal- it looks just like a scene from a movie. (If only we could bump into Ryan Gosling on Sandymount Beach)
The heart-warming message was captured by staff at the Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa, which is located just above the beach, so they had the perfect view of the lovely moment.
“Love is in the air at Inchydoney today,” they wrote.

And it’ll come as no surprise to hear that Anne said yes! Sure, how could she say no to such a grand gesture?
Apparently, the lovebird’s children were even there to witness the special moment.
Paris may be the known as the city of love, but it looks like West Cork may give it a run for its money.
