Services on the Luas Red Line were disrupted this morning after a cyclist was involved in a collision with a tram on Mayor Street Lower at approximately 7.50 am.
According to reports, the cyclist was hit by a Red Line tram, which serves stops between Saggart and The Point, and was transferred from the scene by ambulance earlier this morning.
Thankfully, upon treatment in hospital, it was established that the cyclist did not sustain serious injury in spite of the collision.
Acknowledging delays which took place in light of the incident, updates were posted on social media and the public have been informed that normal service has now resumed on the Red Line.
