We couldn’t believe our eyes when we opened the curtains to find a garden full of snow this morning. Much to everyone’s disappointment, the snow is back.

Met Éireann has issued a status orange snow-ice warning for eastern counties, which will remain in place until midday today.

We will experience temperatures of 1 to 3 degrees, with blustery winds forecasted too.

Luckily, the snow showers will not be as severe as the ones from earlier this month. Forecasters believe that they will become more scattered this afternoon.

Phew!

However, temperatures are set to drop to -3 degrees tonight, with more snow showers predicated, so make sure you stock up on milk and bread, mums, just to be on the safe side!

Met Éireann has also issued a status yellow snow-ice warning for the entire country, with snow showers, icy patches and low temperatures forecasted.

Make sure to travel safe and wrap-up warm, mums!
