No doubt still celebrating her recent engagement to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel, life has not always been rosy for Miranda Kerr, especially following her split from her first husband Orlando Bloom.

The mum-of-one was talking to Elle when she said that she fell into a “really bad depression” following her marriage split, something Miranda admits she had never really had any experience of.

“When Orlando and I separated, I actually fell into a really bad depression,” she said.

“I never understood the depth of that feeling or the reality of that because I was naturally a very happy person.”

However, with the help of meditation, aromatherapy oils, yoga, healthy eating and a realisation that “every thought you have affects your reality and only you have control of your mind”, the 33-year-old began to go back to her naturally positive self.

Talking about her son Orlando, the Victoria Secrets model, who co-parents him with Orlando, said that her five-year-old is the most important factor in her life and is adamant that he has quality time with both of his parents.

“The most important thing is that when he has his time with me, we have quality time together, and when he's with his dad, he has quality time with him,” she explained.

“And it works out really well because I book in my photo shoots for the time he's with his dad, and the rest of the time I just get to be a mom.”
