A Florida family are heaving a sigh of relief this week, after their four-year-old daughter was safely returned to them following her abduction.

According to reports, little Rebecca Lewis sparked a series of Amber Alerts in her native state, after being taken from her bed on Friday night.

It was Rebecca’s 16-year-old sister who raised the alarm, after going to check on her after 9pm last Friday and finding her bed empty.

Police were contacted immediately, and Amber Alerts were sent out in five states.

Thankfully, Rebecca was found on Monday – in the company of a former ‘family friend’ named West Wild Hogs.

Hogs, born Matthew Clark Pybus, is believed to have kidnapped Rebecca and then brought her to McDonald’s.

The suspect was recognised after entering a nearby hospital, and a member of staff there contacted the authorities.

The little girl was returned to her parents, and is said to have appeared unharmed.

Confirming the news, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation tweeted: “Rebecca Lewis has been recovered in Memphis, and is safe. West Hogs is in custody. Thanks for all who got the word out.”

Further reports have claimed that Hogs has not seen the Lewis family in over two years, when he allegedly pulled a gun on them.

Thank heavens this little girl is OK.
