Mothercare has issued a recall on its Hyde Crib amid safety concerns. The company has stated that children are at risk of being injured.

They discovered that there is a risk of the base of the crib detaching from the frame. Only a small number of cribs have been affected, cribs from batch dates from January 2017 and November 2017 have been recalled.

You will find the batch date on the base of your crib.

The company have advised parents who purchased the crib, whether that was in store or online, to check for faults.

To check if you have an affected crib please check the guidelines below:

If the bottom rail, with blocks on which you sit the base, is shorter than the top rail then your crib is not affected, picture A.

If the bottom rail, with blocks on which you sit the base, is longer than the top rail then your crib is unsafe and should be returned to store, picture B.

The store has asked parents to stop using the crib if it has been affected. Parents should return it to your local Mothercare store immediately.

You will receive a full refund from Mothercare when you return the crib.

They stated, “This action has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
