Losing a child is one of the most devastating ordeals a woman can experience, so naturally, she would do anything to prevent it from happening to another mother.

This was the thinking behind Jennifer Tiner’s recent incredible actions, which saved the life of struggling newborn.

Jennifer experienced her own heartbreak when she lost her daughter, Isabella, who suffered from dozens of seizures a day. While Isabella was allowed to return home from hospital, she would regularly stop breathing and suffered damage to her brain as a result of the seizures. Tragically, at 13 months old, she passed away.

Elsewhere, baby Dekevyon Chappell was born at 28 weeks gestation, weighing just two pounds. Nurses informed mum Detra that breast milk was best to ensure his survival, but there was one major problem – she couldn’t produce enough milk.

Help was at hand for Dekevyon however, and that much-needed milk began to come in, ounce by ounce, thanks to an anonymous donor at the Mother’s Milk Bank of North Texas.

Can you guess who the donor was? It was Jennifer Tiner, who donated approximately 33 gallons' worth of the milk she had pumped and stored for Isabella.

“It’s liquid gold, is what it is. Bella lives on; she’s not forgotten. She saved him through her milk,” Jennifer told local media.

An incredibly grateful Detra has not only welcomed Jennifer into her life as a friend, but she also asked her to be Dekevyon’s godmother. They recently celebrated the tot’s christening together and have come to lean on one another through the difficult times.

What an incredible story. Both of these women and their families are in our thoughts.
