Many mums will be fans of Monsters, Inc. from its original release in 2001, but most of our kiddies were too young (or not even born) to enjoy the movie. So, with the prequel, Monsters University, due out this summer, Disney.Pixar have given our little ones the chance to enjoy the original movie in 3D before the prequel hits our screens.

Monsters, Inc is the story of Sully and Mike who live in Monstropolis. Their job is to scare children so their screams will provide power for the city, but it’s actually the monsters who are scared of kids. When a little girl named Boo follows Sully after work, he and Mike must figure out a way to get her home before the evil Randall finds her first.

Monsters, Inc. is a funny, cute, heart-warming movie with loveable characters. Sully in particular (voiced by John Goodman) is wonderful with his sweet manor and furry hair (there is actually a teddy version of him available in the Disney store that kids will absolutely adore). There are lots of fantastic scenes in the movie, and plenty of gags for kiddies and parents alike. The 3D is a great way to really bring the monsters to life and it really emphasises the beautiful bright colours used to create the world of Monstropolis.

While we know parents already love this movie, your kids can now appreciate it just as much as you with this re-release. Now we cannot wait to see Monsters University this summer!

Monsters, Inc. 3D is in cinemas nationwide from January 18th. Check out the trailer below.
