Last weekend, we shared a photo of an adorable set of twins that has gone viral around the world. Posted by a mum who has become sick of answering the usual ‘twin’ questions about her daughters, the photo was a humorous take on how she wished she could tackle the sillier queries.

Just days after mum Annie Nolan’s joke post spread around the world however, she has revealed that not everyone is amused. In fact, some people were so irritated by her photo that they have responded in a very bizarre manner.

Appearing on ABC News today, Annie – known by her blogger name ‘Uncanny Annie’ – revealed that she has been receiving death threats since her post went viral.

The 26-year-old mother of Delphine and Cheska told the network: “There’s the typical trolls who send death threats. I’ve had a couple inbox messages – one saying if they saw me on the street they’d love to glass me in the face.”

Dangerous and violent threats aside, the Australian also revealed that she has received messages from bereaved women branding her ‘ungrateful’.

“One particular person kept sending me photos of her child who had passed away and that was the one that had affected me, so I had to take some time off the internet,” added Annie.

The tongue-in-cheek post that has attracted so much attention features little Cheska and Delphine, sitting in their buggies and holding up signs. Written on the signs were sarcastic answers to some of the ‘sillier’ questions and statements Annie receives on a daily basis.
