Just two weeks after eight-year-old Lucas Carter was killed in a house fire, his mother has been found dead at her partner’s home.
Lucas tragically died in hospital after he was rescued from his home in Cheshire after it went on fire on Saturday and less than two weeks later his mum, Kelly-Anne Carter has also died.
A post on the website of Lucas’s school, Offley Primary School read:
“It is with profound shock and deep sadness that we learn of the death of Lucas Carter’s mum, Kelly-Anne at her partner’s home.
"Lucas died in tragic circumstances on October 30th 2016 and his funeral is due to take place at St Mary's church on Friday.
"We now learn that Kelly-Anne has also died, making this so much harder to bear for the family and all who knew them.”
Kelly-Anne’s death is not being treated as suspicious however, police are still investigating the death of Lucas Carter.
