A mother-of-two who hasn't seen her children in over three years has launched an appeal in an effort to be reunited with 10-year-old Aishah and seven-year-old Faris who were abducted by their father in July 2012.

Lucey Plato, who appeared on This Morning alongside child abduction lawyer Suleema Jahangir this week, explained that she is now seeking the support of the wider public by launching a petition which if successful may help her to have her case heard in parliament.

Desperate to raise awareness of her plight, Lucey told This Morning viewers that her children's father, Usama Al Barwani, had taken the youngsters to his native Oman, but is now serving a four-year sentence in the UK meaning that Lucey has no idea where her children are nor who is caring for them.

Struggling against the legal system, Lucy, who displayed incredible composure in spite of her heartache, told hosts that she has been served an harassment order meaning the mum-of-two is likely to be arrested if she sets foot in Oman in an effort to find her children.

While appealing directly to Prime Minister David Cameron, Lucey, who last spoke to her children 11 months ago, knows she needs the support of the British public and is seeking it through a petition which can be found here.

While only British citizens or UK residents have the right to sign, it is important awareness is raised about Lucey's intentions.

SHARE to raise awareness of Lucy's petition with those you know in the UK.
