When a parent puts a bumper sticker regarding their child up on their vehicle, it is in the hope that those around them will read the message and have a little human compassion towards them – the exact opposite of what this mum has experienced.

A mother in Utah has gone public after finding stickers bearing cruel taunts about her child attached to the back window of her car.

Eliese Livingston is mother to Kyler, her son who has autism, and her car bears a sign which reads: “Autistic child: May not respond to verbal commands”.

This week, Eliese parked her car outside of her home as usual, but the following day she made a rather disturbing and upsetting discovery. Beside her own sticker were some new (and misspelled) additions, branding Kyler a ‘spoiled brat’ and ‘undisciplined’.

Needless to say, Eliese – who has only been living in the neighbourhood with her family for a month – was very upset by the incident, and reported it to her local police.

While the perpetrator of this horrible act has not yet been identified, we hope that the police will be able to intervene – and that whoever did this will realise the error of their ways.
