By now, we have all heard of those terrifying clown sightings, and we’ll admit to giving a silent ‘whoop’ when we heard the following story.
A Californian mum has thwarted a clown’s attempt to grab her child, by kicking him and sending him running away.
According to NBC, Tiffany Martin was standing at a bus stop on Wednesday, with one-year-old daughter Kissani in her arms, when a man dressed in a clown costume stood beside her.
The clown struck up a conversation with Tiffany, and held her baby’s hand, saying ‘aw’. The incident escalated quickly, however, when the clown then began ‘tugging’ on little Kissani’s arm in a bid to snatch her away.
Having heard the many stories circulating about creepy clowns trying to lure children away, Tiffany was not about to take this behaviour lying down.
Tiffany held on to her daughter tightly and gave the clown a hard kick to the shin. He is said to have then fled and disappeared down a neighbouring street.
Police were immediately notified, and a search is now underway for the clown with a ‘blue wig and a rainbow, polka-dot outfit’.
While Tiffany told local media that she is ‘relieved’ her baby was unharmed, she is terrified that another family will fall victim to this ‘clown’.
Let’s hope the police catch this individual.
