When it comes to our children, we always strive to put them first, even when that means we have to put some kind of plan on hold – for this woman, however, she was lucky enough not to have to make the choice.
Kimmy Lopez was intent on completing her high school education, but she had an uphill climb to do so. As well as having a 10-month-old son to look after, Kimmy was living in a shelter and couldn’t afford the steep cost of daycare.
Resigned to the fact that she probably wouldn’t be able to complete her education and receive her diploma, Kimmy contacted her school and explained the situation – and they responded in the most amazing way.

Posting a photo of her teacher holding her son to Facebook, Kimmy explained how Mr Guy regularly minds her child so that she can study towards her diploma undistracted.
“They set up a play-pen in their office, brought toys and snacks for my baby, he even took my son to run errands with him – all so that I could come to school every day, study peacefully and focus on my books so that I graduate with my class,” explained Kimmy.
Praising the teacher, she shared her photo next to the now famous shot of a lecturer holding a student’s child.
Needless to say, the post has since gone viral and has attracted thousands of likes and shares.
