Most of us will know how to react if our children are being bullied, but what about when we find out that it’s our little darlings who are doing the bullying?

Donielle Dabney has urged parents who find themselves in this situation to teach their children that there is never an excuse to bully another person, after finding out that her daughter was ‘playing a part in a bullying act’.

When Donielle got the news about her daughter Kelsey, she decided that she needed to take action and raise awareness for other parents. She took to Facebook to share her story, and it has quickly gone viral.

She explained how she brought Kelsey into school to apologise to the child and write a letter of apology to the child’s mother – and she had a rallying message for any other parents reading the post.

“Parents, teach your kids that bullying is not ok! Kids are committing suicide these days! I will not raise bullies and neither should you! It starts with us…let’s be aware!” she wrote.

Donielle’s statement has been liked and shared thousands of times – a fact which has made her feel very ‘emotional’.

She later added: “When I wrote this status it wasn't for the likes…I was really upset and expressing my feelings...and the fact that so many people could appreciate how I felt lets me know that my kid's future is looking very bright...Their mom must be doing something right.”
