Is it teething time for your little one?
What you need
  • CD Player / Radio
How to play
  1. Get the kids together (inside the house or outside) and get them to start dancing as soon as they hear the music
  2. Tell the kids that when the music stops, they must each stand on the spot, in a scarecrow pose (arms outstretched) and be as still as possible.
  3. When the music stops, take your time weaving through the kids, in order to make them move, or better still giggle.
  4. Any child that doesn’t make the Scarecrow pose or cannot stay still, or starts to giggle, is out of that round, and the music starts again.
  5. The children who are out of each round, can tease the children who remain in the game to make them laugh when the music next stops
  6. Make sure you stop and start the music as randomly as possible, and vary the amount of time you leave it playing and the amount of time you leave it off
  7. The winner is the last person standing.  Prize optional.
