Gardai are continuing to appeal to anyone who was with teenager Cameron Reilly before he was tragically found dead this past weekend, to come forward.

They are urging anyone with information or who was with the 18-year-old before he was found to pass on anything they may know as they continue their investigation.

It is believed the teen died in "violent circumstances" and police say that other teens may have been present when this occurred - it is those that may have been present that the Gardai would particularly like to speak with, according to various reports. They are suggesting a row may have broken out, but this has not been confirmed.

According to Independent.ie, Cameron's mother Tracy Glass thanked the local community and paid tribute to her son in a post on social media.

"Thank you to each and everyone of you, our hearts are broken in a million pieces. My beautiful son love u to the moon and back," she wrote.

Cameron, an only child, was last was last seen in the vicinity of Ardee Road in Dunleer in Co. Louth at about 12.30am on Saturday (and it is believed that he was out with other teens the night before), when his body was discovered only hours later at approximately 8am in Rivervale.

This evening, it has been reported that Gardai are speaking with young people in Dunleer, as investigations continue into his tragic death.

They are also appealing to taxi drivers and bus drivers or anyone with dashcam footage recorded in the Dunleer area to make it available to them and they are still searching for Cameron's mobile phone.

“We are particularly appealing for assistance from the public to locate Cameron’s phone, an Apple iPhone (64GB) with a green hardback cover, space grey in colour,”  Inspector John O’Flaherty told TheJournal.ie

He asked also homeowners and business owners in Dunleer to “check their property, including wheelie bins and waste skips” for the phone.

Family friend Ray Buckley has started the fundraising campaign on GoFundMe.com in a bid to raise €6,000 to assist the family in the most difficult and saddest of times.

Mr Buckley posted: “Cameron Reilly is the only child of Tracy & Snowy. He was tragically taken from them in unimaginable circumstances. Any and all funds raised on this page will go directly to the parents of Cameron Reilly to help them in the weeks and months ahead.”

Over €3,000 has been raised so far.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Cameron's parents, family and friends at this unbearably sad time.
