Popular parenting blogger, Olivia Siegl, has taken to Facebook to voice her frustrations after her book was deemed “too risky” by her publishers.

 

The woman behind The Baby Bible blog was encouraged by her agent to write a book after the success of her blog, which features an extremely honest look at her experience of pregnancy and parenthood.

 

 

This content caught the eye of TV producers and publishers who liked her real life approach to these topics.

 

After working on the opening chapters of the books, Olivia shared them with her agent and some friends who all shared her excitement and satisfaction with the book so far.

 

However, when she took the chapters to the marketing department of a hugely popular publishing company, who were two women both of whom were pregnant, she was told that it was “too risky” and that “some things, we would rather just not know when going into motherhood”.
