The Tooth Fairy ritual is a seasoned tradition all over the world, and while money is the usual reward of choice, a couple in the States had something completely different in mind for their son.
Imgur user ‘PhillyBits’ took to the photo-blogging site to share the proof of a hilarious prank he and his wife played on their son, Elliott, after he recently lost a tooth.
In a text message exchange, the couple decided that $5 was an appropriate sum of money to give to Elliott – but they had another ‘prize’ up their sleeves, too: chores!
The couple decided that a stern letter from the Tooth Fairy would encourage Elliott to ‘shape up’ around the house, and so together they drew up then printed out the piece – on headed paper!
As you can see, the Tooth Fairy does cough up the $5, but it comes with a condition: Elliott HAS to carry out the chores listed in an addendum to the letter, or he forfeits his remaining teeth.
“By leaving your tooth out for one of our Tooth Adjusters, you, the toothee, have entered into a contractual obligation to perform measured work, herein known as Chores. Please see the attached addendum for an updated list of those chores,” the letter reads.
You don’t need to imagine how bummed Elliott was to receive the letter, because his expression in the uploaded photo says it all!
We have to agree with Elliott’s parents on this one: it truly is ‘Imgur gold’.
