It has only recently reopened following a tragic accident which left one young girl with serious life-changing injuries, but parents have now slammed Alton Towers because of certain T-shirts which are being sold at the park.

Steve Horsley was at the park with his family recently, when he saw "suggestive" T-shirts being sold in the gift shop. The father believes the items of clothing to be intentionally sexual as the female shirt says “Ride Me”, while the male version says, “Ride It”.

Talking to The Sunday Mirror, the school IT manager said: “The 'RIDE ME' phrase is very suggestive. We have to protect our children.”'

"I was with friends at the time and we couldn’t believe what we were seeing. They are making these shirts for small-sized girls and they say ‘ride me’ – that’s very suggestive.Somebody commented well if you don’t like it, don’t buy it, but that’s not the point. We have to protect children. They are so vulnerable these days and there are so many horror stories", he explained.

Believing them to be “irresponsible” and are putting girls in danger, Steve’s cousin, Malcolm, is now campaigning online to get the items removed from the shelves.

Following the complaint, Alton Towers took to their Twitter page to explain that the shirts are for adults only and “reflect the park experience.”

What do you think? Should they be removed?
