We were all shocked and saddened when news emerged that former EastEnders actress Sian Blake and her two children were found dead in their home last December.

The 43-year-old actress and her children – Zachary, eight, and four-year-old  Amon - were reported missing before being found dead in the family home in London.

Following the discovery, police in the UK launched a search for the actress’ partner, Arthur Simpson-Kent, who is the father of Zachary and Amon.

And now, according to the BBC, Arthur, who was arrested at Heathrow Airport after being extradited from Ghana, has confessed to the murder of Sian and her children.

His lawyer informed the Old Bailey that he would confess to the jury during his trial which is due to take place in October.

Sian, who reportedly had motor neurone disease, played Frankie Pierre in the hit TV show between 1996 and 1997.
