Congratulations to American comedian Patton Oswalt, who married actress and legal mediator Meredith Salenger this last Saturday!

Patton announced the wedding to his 4.3M Twitter followers on November 5, with an adorable photo of him with his daughter, 8-year-old Alice, and his new wife.

He casually captioned the photo, “What’d you guys do yesterday?”

The dad-of-one became a widower in April 2016, when his first wife Michelle McNamara died in her sleep. It was determined the combination of an undiagnosed heart condition and prescription medication caused her death.

Patton was very vocal after her passing about the heartbreaking grief he experienced and how it felt to become a single parent. His devastating story resonated with many others who had lost loved ones.

It seems that now the 48-year-old funny man’s life is brightening, though. He announced his engagement to Meredith in July this year, also via Twitter.

Their wedding looked absolutely magical, with strung lights illuminating the venue.

For their first dance, the couple was serenaded by singer-songwriter Aimee Mann and her husband Michael Penn.

Patton’s daughter Alice was the ‘World Champion Flower Girl’ in his eyes.

Her flower crown is too cute!

It was a star-studded guest list as well, with Questlove and Louis C.K. numbering among the attendees. The Goonies actress Martha Plimpton even officiated!

Fans shared in the comedian's happiness via Twitter.

"I am beyond happy for you, @pattonoswalt! you all deserve nothing but happiness!" one follower tweeted.

Another fan added, "You've given immeasurable joy to countless people, so glad the universe is returning the favor."

Thank you, Patton, for showing us the healing power of love.

Congrats again to the happy couple!
