As critically acclaimed Poldark returns to our screens so does the handsome Aidan Turner.
The Dublin born actor walked the red carpet at last night’s GQ Awards in London where he also picked up the award for Best Television Actor.
In the midst of being asked about his new found sex-symbol status, Aidan only wanted to talk about one thing – his mum.
The 33-year-old was asked about any bad habits he's picked up over the years and embarrassingly replied:
“I do, at the odd moment, take a cigarette,” he told reporters.
“I shouldn’t do that but it’s probably the last of my really bad habits. My mum is not impressed with that at all.”
The Hobbit actor went on to say that his mum’s opinion of him is very important.
“If I’m staying over at my mum’s house, I send her a text always.
“I didn’t do that when I was younger. But I’m a very good boy now. I behave myself.
“My mum’s the number one in my life. I make sure she’s looked after. I would never worry her.”
