According to emerging reports, police in Wales are appealing to the public for help in locating a 30-year-old mother who is understood to have gone missing with her ten-week-old infant.

It has been established that Nichola Williams was last seen in the Blaina Wharf pub in Newport, South Wales at approximately 7pm on Saturday.

Gwent Police have offered a description of Nichola in an effort to jog the public's memory so that they may be able to help with enquiries.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Nichola is described as white, between 5ft 2in and 5ft 4in tall and of medium build. She has short black hair." 

In addition to this, it has been established that Nichola was last seen wearing a flowery t-shirt and grey jeans and sports a tattoo on her forearm.

Confirming the circumstances surrounding Nichola's disappearance, police explained: "Nichola, who is from the Maesglas area, is with her 10-week-old baby who is in a car-seat type push chair."

The public are asked to contact police if they feel they can be of assistance in the case.
