The body of the man believed to be responsible for the death of his mother, stepfather and half sister has been found by a member of the public in Oxford today.

Murder suspect, Jed Allen, has evaded police capture since the bodies of his three family members were found at their home in Didcot at the weekend.

Following the devastating discovery, Mr. Allen was seen on CCTV footage calmly strolling through a branch of WH Smiths ten miles from the scene of his family's slaying, with Detective Superintendent of Thames Valley Police, Chris Ward, asserting: "After visiting WH Smith, we believe that Jed then walked to Oxford University Parks."

The former Oxford University groundsman, who boasted a distinctive spider tattoo on his hand, became the subject of a major manhunt involving 120 officers who combed the 70 acre park in an effort to locate the 21-year-old suspect.

The body of the man, whose social media accounts highlighted his interest in blades and axes, was discovered on Marsden Road in Oxford today.

A press conference held this evening saw detectives assert that they were no longer looking for anyone in connection with the deaths of 48-year-old Janet Jordon, 44-year-old Philip Howard and six-year-old Derin Jordon.
