Last week, we reported on every mum's worst nightmare when we shared TV star, Saira Khan's story of her young son's midnight adventure, and now unfortunately another mum has endured the same horror.

Upon opening the door to two police officers, a mother in Manchester quickly realised that her son and his guest had not been in the bedroom she believed them to be, but were instead wandering the streets of Radcliffe, near Bury.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the boys, aged 10 and 11, were approached by a member of the public who was stunned to see them in public at 2am, each wearing just a onesie against the elements.

Upon being told they intended to go to McDonalds for a snack, the woman contacted the police who found the boys in the Riverside Retail Park restaurant after sneaking out of a slumber party.

According to a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police, the boys insist they were unaware of the time while the childrens' mothers were oblivious to their sons' early morning excursion.

Officials assert that no further action will be taken by the police.
